Sayre's own Olivia Thompson swam at the district competition on Feb 26th and 27th at Williamsport High School. Olivia was a part of breaking two school records during the competition. Her relay team broke the school record in the 200 Free Relay that Olivia helped set in 2023 with a time of 1:46.78 and placed 4th. Her relay team also set a school record for the 400 Free Relay with a time of 3:54.95 and placing 3rd.
Olivia was also active as an individual swimmer. Setting two personal bests. One was in the 50 Free with a time of 26.36. The other in the 100 Backstroke with a time of 1:06.39. Both of these times were able to get Olivia on the podium in the 5th place spot.

Officer Spencer is an amazing asset to our students and staff. He is working hard to build relationships and improve the safety of our school. The IRFCU created another round of huge smiles from both kids and adults. The littlest Redskins had a fantastic day exploring their community today! Our entire kindergarten was lucky enough to rotate through four local businesses today for a great day of fun! Celebrations had us in for a creative cupcake decorating class. We met the owners and the head baker and tried our skills out at decorating our own masterpiece. We then visited the Sayre Public Library where we met our friend Mrs. Systo. She also comes into our classroom monthly to do an outreach program with us. It was great getting to see where she works. She had a fun activity planned for us as well. We then toured our local Sayre Theater and were treated to a behind the scenes tour. It was awesome! Our fourth station was Crystallize with Kate. What a neat place! She is a local artist specializing in children art activities. We made friendship bracelets and learned about a famous artist. We then gathered at the Theater where we were treated to lunch courtesy of some kind classroom families and the Nutrition Group. After lunch we got to spend the afternoon watching Paddington Bear. It was so interesting to see how many kids have never been to any of these fantastic places within our community. A huge shout out to our local businesses for allowing us to come and for the I.R.F.C.U for making this happen. The kids were exhausted but full of chatter on the way back to school. We are already looking forward to our next community adventure!
