Teachers Christine Arena and Jaimie Wheeler attended Demonstration Night at NTCC and were able to witness their students in action and doing what they do best. Sayre School District currently has 44 students who attend the Career Center.
Officer Spencer donated some time in Kindergarten this week. He brought in a funny story to read to us for Read Across America. He also found out that some of his littlest friends want to be just like him when they grow up!
Along with Officer Spencer's read aloud the kids did a guessing game. They were asked a bunch of questions that they had to answer according to how they think Officer Spencer would answer. Here are a few:

3. The school officers dream car would be:
Most answered police car. One thought he would really love a gold Subaru.

Fire dog.
5. When my school officer was my age, I think he wanted to grow up to be: a women police officer!
6. I think my school resource officers favorite thing about school is: us,the kids.
7. I think if my school resource officer could have a superpower it would be: saving kids.
8. I think the person my school officer looks up to the most is: God and his dad.

Halfway through our week of celebrating reading, and Snyder students pulled out their craziest socks, in honor of that silly Fox in Socks!
Tomorrow night the Music Boosters will have their monthly meeting at the high school cafeteria @ 6. We would love to see drama parents, music parents and anyone else who could provide support attend. We have many volunteer positions to fill as well as items needed for the show. Come and support these great kids and see how you can be a part of this fun booster club!

Tuesday is for twinning and our Snyder students did not disappoint! Inspired by Dr. Seuss’s favorite twins, Thing 1 and Thing 2, students K-6 showed their creativity and school spirit for this week’s Twin Day!
Over the weekend, Sayre Competition Cheer finished up their season in Williamsport. All three squads came home with a first place trophy and Olivia Thompson finished first in the jump off.
This season has been a great one for the Cheer program!
💙 Varsity competed at Districts, Elmira, and Williamsport and took 2nd in Elmira and 1st in Williamsport.
❤️ Sayre Rec Red (5th-8th grade) had an undefeated season with 1st place finishes in Elmira, Catawissa and Williamsport!
💙 Sayre Rec Blue (1st - 5th grade) had 2 1st places and a second.

Today Ms. Gaydos's class studied the moon phases using Oreos.
Sayre's own Olivia Thompson swam at the district competition on Feb 26th and 27th at Williamsport High School. Olivia was a part of breaking two school records during the competition. Her relay team broke the school record in the 200 Free Relay that Olivia helped set in 2023 with a time of 1:46.78 and placed 4th. Her relay team also set a school record for the 400 Free Relay with a time of 3:54.95 and placing 3rd.
Olivia was also active as an individual swimmer. Setting two personal bests. One was in the 50 Free with a time of 26.36. The other in the 100 Backstroke with a time of 1:06.39. Both of these times were able to get Olivia on the podium in the 5th place spot.
