Our Speech & Debate Drama Llamas are back for another exciting year! While the first tournament isn’t until November, our students are in “conditioning” mode. From watching examples of performances and debates to searching for pieces, our Drama Llamas are gearing up for what will surely be a great competition season!

If you can't make it to that practice they will have practice again on Saturdays 9am to 11am, and Mondays 6pm to 8pm. Congrats to Jr-Hi Volleyball on a well played 1st match yesterday. The A squad lost to Troy and the B squad won in two sets. Coach Garrity saw a lot of improvements made on the court, and looks forward to the ladies continuing to improve their skills through the season.

In JV football news, the team lost to Canton last night in the Lockhart St. Bowl. Outside of a few big pass plays given up, the team played well in their first game of the season. Jordan Brown and Dalton Forrest had strong games on both sides of the ball and Victor Mumo had some nice plays on offense and special teams. JV will be in action next on September 11 against Muncy.

Hey Redskin Sports fans the fall season is kicking into high gear-the 1st Varsity football game of the year is tomorrow at Canton @ 7pm, go out and support the Skins as they open on the road against a tough Canton squad. Next week Volleyball opens at Troy on Tuesday August 29, and their home opener is Thursday 8/31 against Towanda. Start time for both games is 6pm. Golf is at Towanda CC on Thursday 8/31 @ 1:30pm and Varsity football has its home opener on Friday 9/1 against Wyalusing. New this year, any Sayre student gets in free for any home game! Come on out and cheer on your Redskins!
