I grew up on a 300 acre dairy farm. There were lots of long hours keeping that farm running so you will see me here pretty late on most days. My biggest hobbies are coaching sports. Most people know me as Coach Kap. Football, soccer, basketball, baseball, and softball keeps most of my free time occupied. Being a shop teacher is the greatest job in the world. I like teaching the students to have confidence in themselves and that they don't have to be perfect. Nothing is ever perfect, just do your best. My favorite part about Sayre is the small school atmosphere. Everyone is all about our Sayre Redskins. We are thankful for all Mr. Kapichok does and gives to our team here at Sayre!

Thank you to Mr. Perry Ground, a Turtle Clan member of the Onondaga Nation of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, for taking time today to speak with students from the High School and Elementary School. Upperclassmen at the high school listened to two talks, one on the Haudenosaunee Influence on American Democracy and one on Haudenosaunee Women - from SkyWoman to Suffrage. At the Elementary School, Mr. Ground did a series of Stories from The People of the Longhouse.

Congrats to the RISE VIP of last night's volleyball game Holly Templar. Holly and her sister got to hang with the team during the game and the team gave her a signed ball. Keep up the great work Holly!

The Sayre volleyball program (those thay could make it out) went to a Binghamton University match this past Sunday. After the match, the Binghamton players came back out and held an event for the younger kids called “bump with a bearcat”. It was a great opportunity for the volleyball players to connect with D1 athletes and have fun “playing” volleyball. Pictures attached.
