Congrats to the RISE VIP of last night's volleyball game Holly Templar. Holly and her sister got to hang with the team during the game and the team gave her a signed ball. Keep up the great work Holly!

The Sayre volleyball program (those thay could make it out) went to a Binghamton University match this past Sunday. After the match, the Binghamton players came back out and held an event for the younger kids called “bump with a bearcat”. It was a great opportunity for the volleyball players to connect with D1 athletes and have fun “playing” volleyball. Pictures attached.

5th Grade Twinning Day -2024❤️💙

Mrs. Lezak's gifted class, along with some of Ms. Powers students from Athens, had an amazing time on their recent field trip to Small Dog Orchard!
The students got to try their hand at pressing their own fresh apple cider. They worked together to crank the apple press and watched the delicious juice flow out. What a sweet treat!
The class participated in some super cool STEM activities using your every day household items and apples!
Of course, no trip to an orchard is complete without picking apples! The students had a blast wandering through the trees and selecting the perfect apples to take home. They learned all about the different apple varieties and how they are grown.
To top it off, the students made their own caramel apples.
It was an jam-packed day full of hands-on learning and delicious fun. The students left Small Dog Orchard with full bellies, happy hearts, and a deeper appreciation for the wonderful world of apples. What an amazing field trip!

Last Friday, Mrs. Arena, Mrs. Wheeler and Mrs. Perry took a group of students to Manufacturing Day, an event hosted by Corning Community College aimed at introducing students to career paths in manufacturing. This event was sponsored by the Career Development Council.

Our very own Sayre Graduate Emily Brion came in to present to our Kinders today. Emily is a Penn State graduate of veterinary science who is now enrolled in Louisiana State University in the Science of Veterinary Medicine program. We had a terrific time as she came in to teach kids about veterinary medicine, pet care and pet safety.
