At-the-door ticket sales open 2 hours prior to show time. Every day this week, Cast and Crew members' biographies will be posted here on Facebook so you can get to know the cast and crew before the show. Zaneeta Shinn: The oldest daughter of Mayor Shinn and Eulalie. Zaneeta can be seen in many town scenes and maybe even be spotted with a local “ruffian”. Who could that be? Be sure to see the show on Friday and Saturday at 7 pm and Sunday at 2 pm. Zaneeta is portrayed by Brooke Roberts. Brooke also portrays Amaryllis and a Pick a little lady in the show. Hello! I’m Brooklyn Roberts. I am in eighth grade and I’m 13 years old. I have been in a few plays including Mary Poppins jr. and It’s A Wonderful Life, a live radio play. I’ve also done a few Missoula children’s plays. This show will be my fifth show. I love to read fiction books and I also play the piano and violin. I would like to shoutout to a few people in particular. To Miss Wentzel, for making sure we had the right note. Ms Ackerman, for being on beat. To Ms Paris, for dancing in the serious times. To Mrs Gumaer, for making sure our grades didn’t drop off the charts. To Mrs Russo, for the choreography. Thank you! I’m excited to continue theater through my time at Sayre HighSchool.

Gracie Shinn- Gracie is the youngest daughter of Mayor Shinn and Eulalie. We see her as she is helping her Mother in songs and also when the Wells Fargo Wagon is coming to town. Do you wonder what could be on the wagon? Come see the Music Man and find out! Portraying Gracie Shinn is Neveah Rounsville- Neveah also portrays Alma Hix and a Newspaper reader. Neveah Rounsville, who plays Alma Hix, Gracie Shinn, and a salesman is extremely proud to join this year's cast in the Music Man. Neveah has been in The Wizard of Oz in her previous years. She thanks all of her family for coming to see this wonderful musical and also thanks her fellow cast and crew members who have helped bring this musical to life and always being there if she needed help with anything.

He tries to protect his constituents from the con-man Harold Hill. Join him and his wife Eulalie Mackecknie Shinn as they try to save their town! They also have two daughters Gracie and Zaneeta. Mayor Shinn is portrayed by Logan Richman. Mayor George Shinn Logan Richman is a junior at Sayre and is very excited to be part of this show. He will be playing Mayor Shinn, who is a more serious role, which is something he is not quite familiar with. His most recent shows he played Michael Wormwood in Matilda, Chef Louis in The Little Mermaid, and Gatsby in The Great Gatsby a Live Radio Play. Logan wants to shout out his friends and family for keeping his spirits in the passion of acting.

SHS held a winter sports senior recognition event yesterday afternoon for Tanner Green, Meghan Flynn, Elizabeth Shaw & Layla Bennett. Coaches Blythe and Senese and Athletic Director Mr. Claypool spoke about the athletes and their accomplishments over the winter sports season. The seniors (with the help of their junior team members) then faced off against their basketball coaches & SHS staff members in a rousing game of basketball. Shout out to the varsity cheer team who did an awesome "halftime" cheer for the students!

Sayre Area School District Taylor Wentzel (570) 888-6622 ext. 2368 The Musical March 11, 2024 Dear Local Business, Sayre Area High School is proud to present this year’s musical, The Music Man, performing on Friday, March 22nd at 7:00PM, Saturday, March 23rd at 7:00PM, and Sunday, March 24th at 2:00PM. As we have done in the past, we are looking for businesses to place advertisements in the program. These ads can be printed in black and white or color (please specify). A half-page advertisement will be $50 and a whole-page advertisement will be $75. 😄 Happy Ads 😄 Hi Parents! How many of you would like to take a chance to wish your child the chance to “break a leg” in writing? The Creative team of The Music Man at Sayre Area School District is giving you that chance. The happy ads will appear in the musical program. We are offering two types of happy ads: a half a page ad for $15 and a whole page ad for $25. You can also buy a quarter of a page for $10 and a one line shout out for $5. A form to complete will be available on the Google Classroom (join code zq2czdh). You can also email lgumaer@sayresd.org with the subject: Happy Ad. Money can be sent in with your child either during the school day or at rehearsal in the evening. If you are sending in a check please make it out to the Sayre Area School District and in the memo line please indicate that it is for the Musical. Andrew Quattrini, student at SHS, is working on his Eagle Scout project and needs our help. Items on the flyer can be dropped off at the high school. Students can donate items in the box outside of the nurse's office.
